ICC t20 world cup was played after every two years and organized by ICC (international cricket council) it is a 20-over game played between different teams. but in 2020 the tournament was planned to host in Australia. But due to covid-19 pandemic around the world, the tournament was postponed to 2021 with the new host India. But in 2021 the bad condition in India due to covid-19 the tournament was relocated to UAE and Oman and this tournament was won by Australia first time.

There are seven t20 world cups were played. ICC t20 world cup the first t20 world cup is played in 2007 in South Africa. this world cup was won by India which defeated Pakistan in the final. the second tournament was hosted in England and this world cup was won by previous runner-up Pakistan by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. The next tournament was played in 2010. England and Australia are the two finalists. England beat Australia and win its first international tournament. the fourth edition of the t20 world cup is played in 2012 first time in Asia. this edition was hosted by Sri Lanka. this tournament was won by west indies by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. West indies also won its first international tournament. the fifth edition of the t20 world cup is hosted by Bangladesh in 2014. this tournament is won by Sri Lanka by defeating India in the finals. Sri Lankan is the first team who can play in the three finals. The next edition of the tournament was played in India in 2016. West Indies won this world cup by defeating England in 2021 Australia beat New Zealand in the final. Australia is a current holder of the t20 world cup, and it is also its first title.
